Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Satish Kumar (“I”, “me”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you use satishkumar.net. I keep it short and honest: I only collect what I need to reply to you and run this website.

1. What I collect

Information you give me

• Contact & quote forms — name, email, phone (optional), service, message, deadline and the estimate shown.
• Call booking — name, email, phone (optional), topic, notes and the time you choose.
• AI project brief — your answers about your business and goals, your name and email.
• Karishma (AI chat) — the messages you type, and name / phone / email if you choose to share them for a lead or proposal.
• Newsletter & book waitlist — email and (optionally) first name.
• Client portal — your email, project details, files I share with you and feedback you send.

Information collected automatically

• Basic technical data (browser, device, pages visited, referring site) through Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Google AdSense — only after you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner.
• A short-lived, anonymous rate-limit record (a hashed IP address) to stop spam and abuse of the forms and chat.

2. How I use it

• To reply to enquiries, prepare quotes and proposals, and hold the calls you book.
• To deliver client projects and keep you updated through the client portal.
• To send the newsletter or book updates you signed up for — every email has an unsubscribe link.
• To understand which pages are useful and improve the website (only with your consent).

I never sell your personal data.

3. Cookies & local storage

• Essential — remember your cookie choice, chat session and portal login. These cannot be switched off.
• Analytics & ads — Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity and Google AdSense. These run only if you click “Accept all”. You can change your choice any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

4. Services that process data for me

• Hostinger — website hosting and email.
• Anthropic (Claude) — powers Karishma, the AI brief and proposals. Your chat messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate replies.
• ElevenLabs — turns Karishma's replies into voice when you use the speaker.
• Google — Analytics, Tag Manager, AdSense, Maps and YouTube embeds; Google reviews shown on the site come from Google Maps.
• Microsoft Clarity — anonymous usage heatmaps (with consent).
• Telegram — instant notifications to me about new enquiries.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy.

5. How long I keep data

Enquiries, bookings and briefs are kept for up to 3 years so I can follow up and keep business records, then deleted. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Client portal data is kept for the length of the project plus 3 years.

6. Security

Forms and chat are protected against spam and abuse; private settings and stored data are not accessible from the web; the client portal uses individual access codes. No system is 100% secure, but I take reasonable care to protect your information.

7. Your rights (DPDP Act, 2023)

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance. Email info@satishkumar.net and I will respond within 30 days.

8. Children

This website is not meant for children under 18, and I don't knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
